DIY Farm Party for Kids

I am so happy to share this sweet little farm party that I did for my little Ella's Pre-K class.  This ended up being such a fun one to prepare for and I enjoyed coming up with economical ways to make it cute without breaking the bank.  I knew I needed to get creative!

First were these cute tent barns made from regular old red poster board.  I just folded it in half and sketched out a barn shape that would work to make it a tent shape. This would serve as little centerpieces for the tables.
I used satin ribbon from the dollar store to make the borders and just hot glued it on there.  I traced an index card for the window on black card stock and then another with red.  I cut the red in half to create two windows and then glued them on the edge of the black piece.  The hay is a bunch of raffia hot glued to the inside.
This cute little garland was made from an adorable printable provided by Creative Preschool Resources. I absolutely LOVE the look of these animals and decided to just cut them out in random shapes and then make some animal sound cut outs too. Then I strung them on some jute twine.
The cow plates and bandanna napkins are from Hobby Lobby.  I traced regular dinner plates on gingham scrapbook paper to make little place mats and add some fun color.
This red and white waxed tissue paper is a favorite crafty supply and you can find it at Michael's.
These drinks are my absolute favorite thing.  I bought mini kraft paper sacks sized 3 1/2 x 2 x 6 3/4 inch. The gingham 2 inch circles were scraps from the place mats. The cute little moo cows were meant to be a milk bottle label printable designed by the Aesthetic Nest and I used them to label my "moo juice." I literally glued those on with a glue stick.
Supplies you need if you are interested in doing this particular project: kraft paper sacks, labels, black and white paper straws, juice boxes, ribbon, hole punch and scissors.
Punch two holes through the top of your bag...
Pop in your juice box and thread your ribbon through back to front.
Don't fold the top down when you tie it off.  This leaves a little opening so when the kids are ready to drink they just use the paper straw already provided and pop it through the juice.

My sweet friend Shelya took the above photo and the following photos in this post.  She is a crazy awesome photographer and the other Pre-K "party mom." And a crafty girl too...be still my heart.  She is blessed to have a silhouette (stomp. pout. covet.) and made these oh so cute farm animal silhouettes.  I bought these cute mini hay bales and she poked them inside and put them in front of the barns.  Total love!

Shelya also made smaller ones to put in the cupcakes and they are just precious!

Awwww.  There's my sweet Ella ready for a yee-haw good time! :)

Well that's it for this farm party.  I think a lot of these elements are perfect for a cowboy/cowgirl and western theme too. I hope you enjoyed a little party inspiration today!

Have a fabulous week my sweet friends!
